![]() ![]() I die for their Fresh Taro Pearl Fresh Milk (with mashed taro!) and Amber Pearl Fresh Milk. They serve up Hong Kong-style drinks and desserts like HK milk tea ( dong lai cha), egg waffles ( gai dan zhai), and pineapple buns ( bolo bao). I actually discovered Cuppa Tea for their HK coffee milk tea, and I had no idea they even had bubble tea. They import a lot of their main ingredients from Taiwan, and they make their drinks using the same formula they’ve been using for decades. When you go in-store, you can see the fresh and handmade brown sugar pearls in a giant metal bowl! I absolutely adore the Signature Brown Sugar Pearl Milk from Xing Fu Tang. They have several locations downtown, as well as some in the GTA. The Aurora Series drinks are pretty gradient fruit teas in glass bottles, and the Brown Sugar Deerioca is my fave drink. ![]() Their shops are as aesthetic as their drinks, so it’s perfect if you’re looking for indoor Instagram spots in Toronto. The Alley is another amazing global bubble tea franchise, and they’re known for their brown sugar pearls and Instagrammable drinks. It’s actually the largest tea franchise in the world, and they’re originally based out of Taiwan! They also have plenty of locations all across the GTA, including in Markham and Richmond Hill. You’ll also find delicious pastries and baked goods from Bake Code, a Euro-Asian bakery franchise owned by the same company behind Chatime. The Chatime Signature Milk Tea is my go-to drink, though I am a big fan of their Thai Iced Tea as well! When Chatime first popped up in Toronto almost a decade ago, I drank it almost every single day that summer. Ordering takeout or delivery?
